Yes, we all have a time and place where we like to sing our little hearts out!!

No matter where your vocal range may lie, there are songs to suit you.
Maybe, you like to croon some soul or a love song, belt out some pop classic, or let it all out with some good old-fashioned rock!!

But there’s actually a lot that goes into making those sounds you make, whatever they come out as!! A combination of chest, throat and mouth makes up the notes and words we sing.

The lungs act as bellows, forcing air up the throat and through the vocal cords in the larynx, where the sound is first formed. The mouth, nose, and chest then add tone and resonance to the sound, with the lips and tongue forming the words which finally issue from your mouth.
Unless you have had some formal vocal training, you do all of this automatically, although it has to be said, some better than others!! 😁

Karaoke, either with friends or solo is a great fun exercise as well as being good for you.
Yes, singing has numerous health benefits, both physical and mental, which I am sure some of us have noticed after a good old singalong.

  1. It improves sleep

  2. Relaxes tension in the muscles

  3. Improves posture and balance

  4. Clears and opens up the airways and sinuses

  5. Can reduce snoring

  6. Releases endorphins - those little feel-good chemicals

  7. Boosts the immune system

  8. Reduces stress

  9. Improves mood

  10. Can increase lung capacity

So don’t be shy. There’s a good reason to sing anytime, any place, anywhere!! 😁
