Let's Celebrate Wear Something Gaudy Day

Well, today is Wear Something Gaudy Day.
So let's have fun celebrating it.

In the 1970s, a comedy introduced a character called Larry Dallas, and he introduced us to wearing gaudy clothes with a complete lack of style and fashion.

And look what I found in Kieran’s wardrobe

The word gaudy is anything that is bright and flashy and usually tasteless and tacky and can be clothes or materials

So the best way to celebrate this day is to wear something you wouldn't normally wear that is completely tasteless and unfashionable. If you and your friends do this it could be a lot of fun being out and about.

You have to stand out in the crowds though, so pick brightly coloured material and awful patterns.

If you aren't sure what to wear, look up some of the fashions of days gone by and take a trip to the charity shops and see what you can find. I am sure you will find that evasive pink shirt and bright green trousers and don't forget the yellow socks. ! Don't be self conscious about it, you need to stand out and make a statement, and to be honest you will have a lot more fun than those that don't celebrate it at all
